Let The Journey Begin

I am excited beyond belief. Despite the horrible state of affairs in the world there is still so much positive where we need to focus our energies.

Yes, I may sound hippy but I am a big believer in keeping it all simple. I am a big believer in making dreams come true and setting attainable goals for myself.

These last 2 weeks have been quite a roller coaster ride for me. There are wonderful things happening within my professional world which I will be able to freely discuss with friends and family over the next few weeks. And there are wonderful things happening in the world of music.

Last week I was informally told that I will be provided details to submit a demo for Real Bad XX, the ultimate Folsom Street Fair Dance Party in San Francisco. This, alone, is incredible. Last year I remember attending the party and salavating at the mouth and repeating over and over and over again, "I want this. I want this. I want this. I want to play this party more than anything." And now I am being asked to submit. (No pun intended.)

This week I received an invitation from G.I.R.L. to participate in the ultimate DJ Contest. The 3 winners of the contest will get a chance to spin their very own pool party at Gay Days 2008 in Orlando, FL. The pool parties are attended by tons of people from all over. The winner also gets their own airtime: a weekly radio show.

Talk about a chance to take people on incredible musical journeys. Yikes. Please, if you listen to the podcasts and enjoy them, please take a look at the schedule on their website and listen and vote.  I will also post the schedules here if they allow me to do so. The airing starts on January 20, 2008.

My buddy DJ Pete "Jester" Savas is also a contestant for the G.I.R.L. Gay Days Party. His podcasts are soulful. Give them a listen too. Vote for him.

This is such an honor. Truly an absolute honor to even be considered.

I love you all. I love music more than anything.

Thank you, Bobby.
